While those stunning views often steal the show, The New Dismembered Tennesseans will provide the perfect background music for the outdoor ambience of an evening at Point Park.
A hallmark of the Party at Point Park is the one time all year for photos at Umbrella Rock! We'll help you safely capture a keepsake photo from this iconic landmark, Lookout Mountain's first tourist attraction.
The fine folks from C&W Cafe will be serving up Carl's famous BBQ with your favorite southern comfort food sides. Prefer plant-based? We have you covered, with plenty of delicious options to satisfy all food lovers!
Cannons and boulders and Rangers, oh my! Kids love to explore Point Park and we'll have a fun activity or two for all ages to enjoy. Whether you want a romantic date night sans the kids or a family evening in the Park, the choice is yours and you can't go wrong!
Each ticket includes a chance to win one of a dozen "gate" prizes, ranging from event tickets to gift cards from local businesses to a set of our beautiful Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park posters.
We'll take care of every detail, so our guests can unwind with complimentary beer and wine, visit with friends old and new, take in the views, and simply relax and enjoy the Party at Point Park!
Please reach us at tricia@nppcha.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Cool, casual, and comfortable. The weather is still hot, so please dress accordingly. Think lightweight fabrics and casual attire such as golf shirts, khakis, summer dresses, etc. Comfortable shoes are a must for everyone for safely walking in the grass and down to Umbrella Rock. If in doubt, refer to the “casual attire” section of Emily Post (emilypost.com).

Spaces are limited so we have overflow event parking set up at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church located at 316 N. Bragg Avenue, Lookout Mountain, TN. Parking is available in the lower lot behind the church - just look for the shuttle stop! Our partners at Nooga Shuttles are providing a bus that will run continuously from the church to Point Park and then back again as a quick ride, less than five minutes.
REGISTRATION
Please check in at the tables just inside the gate when you arrive. Name tags will be ready for guests already registered, or we can make one on the fly for changes or walk-ups (if we aren't already sold out). Your nametag will distinguish you as a party guest from others who may just be visiting the park that day and ensure you will be served by the food and bar staff. You will also receive a ticket for the door prizes - hang on to that! We will be drawing tickets at approximately 6:45 pm to announce the winners.
SEATING
We have plenty of room to spread out at Point Park. Seating is unassigned; however, we will have a few tables marked as reserved for the families being honored and for the band. Tables for host partners, honored guests, and sponsors will have a “reserved for sponsors” sign on the centerpieces. All other tables and seats are first come, first served!
FOOD AND DRINKS
Dinner will be served buffet style, with the caterers serving the food for you as you come through the line. C&W Catering has been serving up homestyle favorites at the Party for years, and it’s always a hit! We will have BBQ and southern comfort-food sides with plenty of options for our guests who prefer a plant-based selection. A variety of beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available and served separately at the bar.
POINT PARK “GATE” PRIZES
We will randomly draw names from among the guests for about a dozen door prizes (or “gate” prizes, as we call them). The drawings will take place roughly around 6:45, at the beginning of the remarks.
LIVE GIVING OPPORTUNITY
During the Protect YOUR Park remarks, we invite you to make a contribution directly supporting annual Work Plan items including the popular Ranger-guided canoe, kayak and bike tours with Outdoor Chattanooga; NPS Law Enforcement needs like new field cameras and tip line support; Open OutDoors for Kids field trips that reach the next generation of Park stewards; and more! Don’t miss this opportunity to grow YOUR Park’s legacy with us!
They certainly are welcome! Family ticket bundles are available. We just ask that you keep a very close eye on them. Climbing the stairs of the Peace Monument is allowed and even encouraged, but please don't climb on the cannons (this means you, too, Uncle Bob).
